Waterton, Robert (d. 1425), administrator, was probably born in the 1360s, the son of Richard Waterton of Lincolnshire, and his wife, Elizabeth Newmarch. Apparently the cousin of Sir Hugh Waterton, he followed him into Lancastrian service, but although prominent therein for over thirty years he was never knighted, and is usually described as an esquire.
