Wedgwood, Hensleigh (1803–1891), philologist, was born on 22 January 1803 at Gunville, Dorset, the fourth and youngest son of Josiah Wedgwood of Maer Hall, Staffordshire, and Elizabeth Allen of Cresselly, Pembrokeshire.
