Tuckney, Anthony (1599–1670), Church of England clergyman and college head, was born on 22 September 1599 at Kirton in Holland, Lincolnshire, the son of William Tuckney, the vicar there. He entered Emmanuel College, Cambridge, as a scholar in 1613, graduated BA in 1617, was elected a fellow in 1619, and proceeded MA in 1620 and BD in 1627....
