Sheppard, William (bap. 1595, d. 1674), barrister and legal writer, was baptized on 14 December 1595 at St Andrew's Church, Whitminster, near Frampton-on-Severn, Gloucestershire, the eldest of five children born to Philip Sheppard (d. 1623) and Elizabeth Tyrell.
