Maclachlan, Lauchlan (1688–1746), Jacobite army officer and chief of clan Lachlan (Lachlainn), was born at Castle Lachlan, Argyll, the son of Lachlan Maclachlan (d. 1719), chief of the ancient, but minor, Argyll clan Lachlan (Lachlainn).
