Jane, Thomas (c. 1438–1500), bishop of Norwich, originated from Milton Abbas, Dorset, entered Winchester College in 1449, and in 1454 proceeded to New College, Oxford, where he was a fellow (1456–72). He was a bachelor in civil and canon law by 1464, and a doctor of canon law by 1469, when he was sub-warden of his college and commissary of the chancellor of the university.
