Hotham, John (d. 1337), administrator and bishop of Ely, was the son of Alan and Matilda Hotham, and was born at Trehouses in Hotham, Yorkshire. He would appear to have had important connections, however, for a mortuary roll describes him as 'brought up in the houses of kings and nobles...
