Lloyd, Edward (1845–1927), singer, was born on 7 March 1845 at Loughborough Cottage, Loughborough Street, Lambeth, London, the elder son of Richard Alfred Lloyd (1813–1853), vocalist, and his wife, Louisa Diana, née Hopkins (1817–1880).
