Kem, Samuel (1604–1670), Church of England clergyman and army officer, was born in London, the son of a cooper. Having matriculated at Oxford as a commoner of Magdalen Hall on 23 June 1621, he was elected to a demyship at Magdalen College in 1624, and graduated BA on 19 February 1625.
