Fitzroy, Henry, duke of Richmond and Somerset (1519–1536), royal bastard, was born in 1519, probably in June and at the priory of St Lawrence, Blackmore, near Ingatestone, Essex, the illegitimate son of Henry VIII (1491–1547) and his mistress Elizabeth Blount (c. 1500–1539x41).
