Parker, Sir Karl Theodore (1895–1992), art historian and museum curator, was born on 2 July 1895 at 13 Welbeck Street, Marylebone, London, the younger son of Robert William Parker (1842–1913), a distinguished consulting surgeon, and his wife, Marie Amélie, née Lüling.
