Branwhite, Nathan Cooper (1774/5–1857), miniature painter and engraver, was born in St Albans, Hertfordshire, the eldest son of Peregrine Branwhite (bap. 1745, d. c. 1795), minor poet and shopkeeper of Lavenham, Suffolk.
