Walker, Sir Edward (1612–1677), herald, was born on 24 January 1612 at Roobers, Nether Stowey, Somerset, the second son of Edward Walker (d. 1635/6) of Roobers and Barbara, daughter of Edward Salkeld of Corby Castle, Cumberland.
