Beverley, John (1743–1827), university administrator, was born in Norwich, where his father, William Beverley, was in the wine trade. Having been educated at Norwich School he matriculated from Christ's College, Cambridge, at Michaelmas 1764; he graduated BA in 1767 and proceeded MA in 1770.
