Bennet, Thomas (1645–1681), grammarian, was born at Windsor, Berkshire, the son of Henry Bennet of Binfield, Berkshire. He was a queen's scholar at Westminster School. He matriculated as a plebeian at Christ Church, Oxford, on 19 July 1662, was elected a student in the same year, and graduated BA in 1666 and MA on 3 April 1669, whereupon he became corrector at the university press.
