Bennett, Robert (1605–1683), parliamentarian army officer and religious radical, was born in Hexworthy, Lawhitton, Cornwall, the eldest son of Richard Bennett esquire and his wife, Mary, daughter of Oliver Clobery of Bradstone, Devon.
