Adams, Robert (1794/5–1875), surgeon, was born in Dublin, the son of Samuel Adams, a solicitor, and his wife, Elizabeth, née Filgate. He entered Trinity College, Dublin, on 6 November 1809, at the age of fourteen, and graduated BA in 1814 and MA in 1832; he became MB and MD in 1842.
