Edmondes, Sir Clement (1567/8?–1622), government official, was born in Shropshire, probably at Shrawardine, though the identity of his parents is not known. He entered All Souls College, Oxford, in 1585 as a clerk or chorister, and matriculated as a yeoman's son on 8 July 1586, aged nineteen.
