Chapuys, Eustache (1490x92?–1556), diplomat, was the second son of Louis Chapuys, notary of Annecy in the duchy of Savoy, and of his wife, Guigone Dupuys. His birth date is unknown: a legal document of 1506 gives a minimum age of fourteen, and his parents were married about 1486, so between 1490 and 1492 seems likely.
