Simon [née Harvey], Dame Kathleen Rochard, Viscountess Simon (1863/4–1955), slavery abolitionist, was born in Kyle, co. Wexford, Ireland, the elder of the two daughters of Francis Eugene Harvey of Kyle and his wife, Frances Elizabeth, daughter of John Pollock.
