Meidner, Ludwig Baruch (1884–1966), painter and graphic artist, was born on 18 April 1884 in Bernstadt, Silesia, one of four children of Gustav Georg Meidner (b. c.1818), a textile merchant, and his wife, Rosa Glogauer (d. 1942).
