Compton, Henry (1631/2–1713), bishop of London, was born at Compton Wynyates, Warwickshire, the sixth and youngest son of Spencer Compton, second earl of Northampton (1601–1643), and his wife, Mary (d. 1654), daughter of Sir Francis Beaumont of Coleorton, Leicestershire.
