Campbell, Sir Guy, first baronet (1786–1849), army officer, eldest son of Lieutenant-General Colin Campbell (1754–1814) and his wife, Mary, eldest daughter of Colonel Guy Johnstone, an American loyalist, was born on 22 January 1786. He joined the 6th regiment as an ensign in 1795, and was promoted lieutenant on 4 April 1796.
