Burton, Thomas (fl. 1656–1661), diarist, of Brampton Hall, Westmorland, was the 'heir at law' of Richard Burton, his grandfather. On 20 August 1656 Thomas Burton was returned as MP for Westmorland, in the second protectorate parliament (1656–8).
