Teulon, Samuel Sanders (1812–1873), architect, was born on 2 March 1812 at Hillside, Crooms Hill, Greenwich, the eldest of the four sons of Samuel Teulon (b. 1785), cabinet-maker (later a surveyor) of Greenwich, and his wife, Louisa Sanders from Rotherhithe. His father's family was of Huguenot origin and he retained an allegiance to this French connection. In 1835 ...
