Terry, Charles Sanford (1864–1936), historian and musician, was born at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, on 24 October 1864, the elder son of Charles Terry, a physician there, and his wife, Ellen Octavia, daughter of Octavius Thomas Prichard, physician, of Abingdon Abbey, Northamptonshire.
