George, Lady Megan Arfon Lloyd (1902–1966), politician, was born in Cricieth, Caernarvonshire, on 22 April 1902, the third daughter and youngest of the five children of David Lloyd George (1863–1945) and his wife, Margaret Owen (1866–1941). Her early years were overshadowed by her father, who entered the Liberal government in 1905 and finally became prime minister in December 1916. ...
