Jones, Sir Henry (1852–1922), philosopher, born at Llangernyw, Denbighshire, on 30 November 1852, was the third son of Elias Jones and his wife, Elizabeth, daughter of William Williams. His family were north Wales farmers and farm labourers, with the exception of his father, who was the village shoemaker. His mother was devoutly religious, but his father less so. ...
