Thynne, John Alexander, fourth marquess of Bath (1831–1896), diplomatist and politician, born in Westminster on 1 March 1831, was the eldest son of Henry Frederick Thynne, third marquess of Bath (d. 1837), and Harriet, daughter of Alexander Baring. He succeeded his father on 24 June 1837. ...
