Symonds, Sir Thomas Matthew Charles (1813–1894), naval officer, second son of Sir William Symonds (1782–1856) and his first wife, Elizabeth Saunders (d. 1813×15), daughter of Matthew Luscombe FRS of Plymouth, was born on 15 July 1813.
