St German, Christopher (c. 1460–1540/41), legal writer, seems to have been the only son of Sir Henry St German of Shilton, Warwickshire, and Anne, daughter of Sir Thomas Tyndale of Hockwold, Norfolk. The family's history is obscure, but perhaps its modest fortunes were of mercantile origin. ...
