Bennet, Robert (d. 1617), bishop of Hereford, was the son of Leonard Bennet of Baldock, Hertfordshire, and his wife, Margaret Langley. Having matriculated as a pensioner at Trinity College, Cambridge, in Easter term 1563, Bennet proceeded BA in 1566–7 and was admitted as a minor fellow in September 1567.
