Milne, Sir Alexander, first baronet (1806–1896), naval officer, was the second son of Admiral Sir David Milne (1763–1845) and his first wife, Grace (d. 4 Oct 1814), daughter of Sir Alexander Purves, bt. He was born at Inveresk, Musselburgh, near Edinburgh, on 10 November 1806....
