Humphreys, Humphrey (1648–1712), bishop of Hereford, was born at Hendre Isa, Penrhyndeudraeth, Merioneth, on 24 November 1648, the eldest son of Richard Humphreys and his wife, Margaret, daughter of Robert Wynne of Cesail Gyfarch, Penmorfa, Caernarvonshire.
