Hoste, Sir William, first baronet (1780–1828), naval officer, descended from a sixteenth-century Flemish refugee family, was the second son of Dixon Hoste, rector of Godwick and Tittleshall in Norfolk, and his wife, Margaret Stanforth, of Salthouse.
