Hastings, Laurence, twelfth earl of Pembroke (1320–1348), soldier, was the son of John Hastings, second Lord Hastings (1287–1325) [see under Hastings, John, first Lord Hastings], and Juliana Leybourne (1303/4–1367). He was born at Allesley, Warwickshire, on 20 March 1320. He was, therefore, not yet five years old when his father died early in 1325 and his inheritance passed into wardship.
