Hallett, Joseph (1656–1722), Presbyterian minister and tutor, was born on 4 November 1656, probably in Somerset or Dorset, the eldest son of Joseph (I) Hallett (bap. 1620, d. 1689), nonconformist minister, and his wife, Elizabeth.
